Pace Fire and Rescue - Welcome!

History

Welcome to Pace Fire Rescue, proudly serving since 1959. Originally we started with ten members and one antiquated fire truck, stored in one of the member's garage. Today, we have grown along with Pace to include thirty volunteers, three sub stations, a new larger more equipped Station 1 headquarters, three Engines, a tanker, a brush truck, a boat, a rescue truck, a 75 foot ladder truck, a service truck and two chiefs trucks. In 2007, our name changed from Pace Volunteer Fire Department to Pace Fire Rescue District; we became a combination, volunteer and paid department with the hiring of three career Firefighters. We now have at least two FireFighters on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week.We also have 2 career chiefs who work day time hours and are on call 24\7.
