Pace Fire and Rescue - Welcome!

Proudly serving since 1959, the Department originally started with ten volunteer members and one antiquated Fire Truck stored in a member's garage. In 2007, Pace Volunteer Fire Department was redesignated as Pace Fire Rescue District becoming a combination Career and Volunteer Department. There are three 24 hour shifts, each with two Career FireFighters on duty. Two Career Chiefs, an administration staff, and Board of Directors also round out the complement of personnel.

Along with the community of Pace, the Department has also grown with great speed. In March 15, 2008, PFRD relocated to the new Station One Headquarters located at 4773 Pace Patriot Boulevard. PFRD is equipped with a Pierce PUC Rescue with 1000gal water capacity, Pierce Tanker with 2500gal water capacity, and 75 foot E-One Ladder. Each Substation is housed with an E-One Engine with 1000gal water capacity. PFRD is also supplemented with an Ford F-250 Service Truck, three Chiefs Trucks and Boat 21.
